Emirates has opened its first remote check-in terminal at Port Rashid, which allows disembarking cruise passengers to check in for their onward Emirates flight.
The check-in facilities give passengers the option of leaving baggage at terminal while they explore Dubai before heading directly to the airport for their flight.
The Emirates check-in terminal has eight counters, where boarding passes can be issued up to four hours before flight departure.
The facility will be open during the sailing period from October to April. Over the next six months, 198 cruise ships are expected to dock at Port Rashid, with around 280 000 passengers travelling onward on Emirates flights.
