Virgin Atlantic and GOL have signed a codeshare agreement that allows customers better connections between Virgin Atlantic’s new London Heathrow-São Paulo service on to flights across Brazil.

The agreement will offer connections via GOL’s extensive domestic network to 37 destinations across Brazil, including Brasilia, Rio de Janeiro and Recife.

The two airlines plan to expand their codeshare further in the future with the addition of flights to Argentina, Chile and Uruguay, as well as a reciprocal frequent flyer programme.

Virgin Atlantic will fly daily from Heathrow to São Paulo with the inaugural flight on March 29, 2020. Tickets for the service will go on sale on September 10.
