Macau International Airport has standardised its check-in service from August 5, with all check-in counters across the airport closing 60 minutes before flight departures.

This arrangement follows a new security requirement as part of the Hold Baggage Screening process required by ICAO and local authorities. The airport is working on modifying its existing hardware and facilities and says the new arrangements for the baggage screening process after check-in will implemented in the near future.

Currently, passengers departing from the airport must complete a security check of their baggage before they head to the airline’s check-in counter.

The closing time for check-in counters at the airport currently varies from airline to airline.
